7 ft. (2 m) QSFP+ to Four SFP+ DAC Cable, Cisco Compatible - Break out 40G into four 10G connections

This high-quality breakout cable from Intellinet Network Solutions splits a single QSFP+ 40 Gigabit Ethernet port into four individual SFP+ 10 Gigabit Ethernet connections, making it ideal for linking a 40G switch uplink to multiple 10G servers, storage devices, or switches. It is MSA-compliant for seamless integration with leading manufacturers such as Cisco, Intellinet Network Solutions, ZyXEL, TP-Link, and Ubiquiti, and equivalent to the Cisco DAC Cable QSFP-4SFP10G-C2M. IBTA compliance ensures reliable performance in both Ethernet and InfiniBand environments, while support for QDR InfiniBand, SAS, and Fibre Channel Protocol (FCP) makes it a flexible solution for networking and storage applications.

The benefits of Passive Direct Attach Copper (DAC) over fiber optic and RJ45

Our passive QSFP+ to SFP+ DAC twinax breakout cable is an energy-efficient, low-latency, and cost-effective alternative to fiber optic and RJ45 cabling. It is an excellent choice for short-distance structured cabling between switches, routers, servers, or storage, whether in Top of Rack (ToR) setups, adjacent racks, switch stacking, or similar deployments.

Close to zero power consumption and a wide temperature range

Consuming less than 0.15 W, this passive DAC helps reduce operating expenses and produces zero heat in use. Its robust design supports operating temperatures up to 70 °C (158 °F), making it suitable for demanding data center environments.

Lower cost and simpler deployment than fiber optics

With fewer internal components than fiber optic cables, DAC breakout cables are more affordable and do not require separate transceivers, reducing both cost and complexity. Hot-swappable connectors allow for quick, seamless network upgrades or replacements without downtime, and unlike fiber, used DAC cables do not require cleaning before reuse.

Lower latency than RJ45

This DAC supports data transfer rates of up to 10 Gbps per SFP+ channel, for an aggregated total of 40 Gbps. Compared to RJ45 twisted-pair cabling, its design provides lower signal latency, which is crucial for high-performance networking.

Built for durability and compatibility

Featuring durable zinc die-cast SFP+ and QSFP+ connectors with pull-to-release latches, this cable offers secure connections and easy removal. It is fully TAA-compliant and designed for broad interoperability with a wide range of networking equipment.

Please note: This breakout DAC cable is MSA-compliant and programmed to work with compatible switches and routers from Cisco, Intellinet Network Solutions, ZyXEL, TP-Link, Ubiquiti, D-Link, Edimax, Allnet, Allied Telesis, Digitus, KTI Networks, LevelOne, PLANET, Tenda, TRENDnet, ZTE, Avaya, Mikrotik, Enterasys, Finisar, Dell Force10, Riverstone, Fortinet, and more.
